Lejonklou is a brand from north of Stockholm that specializes in creating very minimalistic components, often for a very specific/targeted use-case, where everything is focused on getting as much sound quality as possible, for the money. They do this by going to great length in skipping much of the "normal" functionality, that is often seen as a necessity. They have recently announced that a new Superkikkin preamp (follow-up model to the earlier Kikkin) is ready for production, limited to only 100 units: www.lejonklou.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6178Note that it will only have two pairs of inputs and one output. There is also likely no volume control on the unit itself (but a remote?). The price seem to land well below £2000 but not sure how much? I just wanted to share this since it might be interesting for someone and might otherwise go unnoticed?

The Kikkin looks really basic, but the magic I guess is in the remote control. Very nice for those who don't have remote variable volume in their DAC, for instance.
I wonder why the limited production run on the Superkikkin (I would love to have one just for that name)?

This is what mr Lejonklou said: "This limits the number of Superkikkins to 100 units, because I had exactly enough of an obsolete film capacitor to make that number and one prototype."

The Kalla streamer looks interesting, although there's not much detail.

Källa means source in Swedish. They like keeping things simple :-)

According to Google, the Swedish " Kikkin" translates to " Whoops" in English. It means " Urgent" in Japanese though.
