That's what I use a lot of. I also always buy olives to munch on. Sainsbury's garlic-stuffed Halkidiki olives, or the double-stuffed with garlic and Jalapeño. I can eat them like sweeties.

Halkidiki is a very special place to me - I actually got married there and go there every time we go to Greece; my in-laws aren't far away. We are lucky enough to get our olive oil from the family trees, it's superb.

Sadly, B12 Methylcobalamin is impossible for me to take orally. I've tried twice and both times it upset my digestion in a big way. Apparently (I've now found out) Metformin and Omeprazole, both of which I take, can affect it. I'm going to give the spray-under-the-tongue version a go from tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me. It's not cheap, but hopefully it'll be worth it. If that fails then the last option left to me is 5000 mcg weekly transdermal patches. The " spray-under-the-tongue" version didn't seem to do much for me, so it's " last resort" time - B12 Patches (Methylcobalamin 5000 mcg) and folic Acid (0.4 mg). Each patch goes on for 24 hours and they are applied weekly.

Good luck with them, Paul. B12 keeps my neuropathy at bay, a no-brainer buy that I take every day.

Be careful out there
Data set of one, me
Good bike ride today, 20 miles plus. Sunny, warm. Up to 25'c forecast if I remember right.
Home, off bike, dizzy, head all over the place, had to take great care not to fall over. Felt well out of it. Guzzled a pint of water, shower, then dozing in the chair for about half an hour Lunch improved but I am still dizzy Never happened to me before
The boss insists its heatstroke, but I didn't think it was that hot...
Mind the sun everyone

I also didn't drink enough water. Thanks for the heads-up, Mike. You need to take care - 20 miles is a hell of a first bike ride for the season.

Mind the sun everyone If you have severe balance problems then it could be Labyrinthitis. Can be an infection affecting only the inner ear, no other symptoms (perhaps a slight raised temperature), or the crystals in your inner ear gue decide to dislodge and cause all sorts of balance issues. I had it bad 5 years ago. My brain actually could not control my eyes, they moved about sort of independently the room see sawing, and I could only walk / move hanging on to furniture, bannisters etc. Even crawling was difficult. There are of course degrees of it. After 3 days I could walk okay, didn't trust to drive until a few more days. Doc said I had a slightly raised temp. Thankfully not had it since! Talk about the brain and your senses making up your world!

Naughty Mike. I know you are fit but that was a properly hot day and 20 miles is a workout. What about going for your ride at beginning or end of the day?

Weird that my 1st Shingles shot didn't effect me at all. But the 2nd really made me feel like crap for over 24 hours! Good luck....
