Tony passed me on a good tip that is in the Leo Bodnar manual (I must read these things)
When setting up change BW (bandwidth) from 15 to 9
My system slams like Martin but still has everything else I love

Also chaps, over the years I have found the 16mA output to be more preferable for audio as well

To help you chaps with setting up the Bodnar GPS ref clock and keeping at peek performance for Audio I would suggest the following setting highlighted below. Make sure you have the most up to date firmware see link below: Bodnar clock firmware download pageREAD the MANUAL FIRST Connect up clock to your pc of choice via the usb cable and make sure they are talking to each other. Place your GPS anntena is a good spot high enough in the room to maximise gps tracking consistancy. From six years using these devices I have found the following setting below to give very good results. Yes a good LPS makes a difference as does as impedence matched quality cable as well.
MAKE SURE YOU SET OUTPUT ONE TO 10000000 or 10Mhz in factory trim it reads 100Mhz

Just had a listen after applying Tony's LB settings...first impressions is vocals are lifted out from the mix , backing vocals also and fine details more present,definitely hearing the LB at its finest in my set up with these settings.

I'm not the best at finding the right words for what I'm hearing, look forward to other guys thoughts.

I’ve tried BW set to 9 and current at 16mA. There’s certainly greater clarity & separation with a more forward sound. I’ve not run in sleep mode yet.

Tony didn't mention the sleep mode,someone on here brought it to our attention.
Mind wasn't in sleep as once you power LB off and then power up again,sleep mode resets to off

As you say it needs to set at every power-up. I think I’m the “someone” 😀 |

Never had anywordness with ANY settings on the Bondar clock at all, it just allows the natural musical dynamic patterns copnatined within the track to be unearthed possibly a block or dam in the system else where possibly?

The “more forward sound” comment was my way of trying to describe in what way the vocals stand out more with the new BW and current settings. I prefer the sound like this, it wasn’t a criticism.

No problem Clive, it's exactly the way I like the sound now aswell, infact it was something I was trying to achieve and failing, original settings were good but Tony's settings have delivered it.

The cost of having more resolution in your system is that it will show up faults and can take time to identify issues.
Once you get it right it really starts to pay off in what you thought was possible
