I'm beginning to think that the best way to go about this is to buy a 1m Harmonic Technologies Digital Copper III cable, cut it in half and crimp my own BNCs onto the ends. Yes, I think that's my plan.

This is the cable I've ordered, specifically designed for master clock use. There is a silver version, but I've gone for the long crystal copper OCC version. 50 ohm because the Gustards take 50 ohm and the EtherREGEN, despite being 75 ohm, seems happier with a 50 ohm LMR-400 cable. Triple shielded, as you can see.

Looking forward to your review... when are they expected to arrive?

Looking forward to your review... when are they expected to arrive? I don't know yet, awaiting shipping confirmation. I can listen to it and burn it in as a single cable before I split it into two.

Shipment is 2-7 working days, so I'll have the HT cable soon. According to one Head-Fi member, burn-in is painful but it now outperforms all his other clock cables.
At least clock cables are easy to burn-in. Just leave the clock running!

I actually find both BNC & SPDIF one of the most difficult to judge to run in as they take one of the longest to do so. The signal they carry is pretty small in terms of frequency/voltage and current with the most seeing 1.5-18V pk<>pk and very small currents maybe 30mA max.
So when conditioning cables, I designed a very high rise time edged signal with large capacitance discharge that I can vary all of the I/V & Frequenices, though you have to be care not to 'over cook' the cables that's far worse than not enough running in!

Hello Martin
Yes I do due to the very small signal size that clock and TDME serial data uses.

Interesting - it took about 2 weeks for both my LMR-400 clock and Tubulus Argentus I2S cables to settle down, so low signal voltage is likely the culprit as you suggest.
I'm patient, though, and will just leave the HT running day and night until it sounds settled, and will then cut it into two and terminate for both my clocks.

I wonder why 'fever' occurs in so many Chinese translations?
My guess would be the cheaper clock is a TCXO and the more expensive one states it's a OCXO.
Phase noise is only meaningful if measured at 1Hz or 10Hz.

Doesn't the graph indicate where the phase noise is measured? You're right, the AC1 is an OCXO but crazy inexpensive. The SC1 phase noise on its graph is -105dB @ 1Hz which is not earth shattering but should better an internal clock. A range of three clocks out of the blue.
