I didn't think it got that cold down South guys It's been between zero and -5 up here. It looks like we are all suffering the same freezing weather then. We are lucky in that we can afford to keep ourselves relatively warm during this cold snap, many can't.

As with Mike its a tropical 1C here but very little snow.
This is the most all round and half respectable camera I have found that will do the job for you Mike.

I'm taking on what I saw which is not nice Think I will find the places I can sort and come back to the larger items later. Advice from a savvy DIYer will be helpful when he's next here What needs doing ? So much

I have to get some wooden beading to block gaps between the floor and tall windows in our master bedroom. It's the only real area of draught in our house now.
We did once have draughts coming from our sauna but that was remedied by replacing the external vent with a proper shuttered one.

Write down your priorities, things you can do/easiest fixed, then move on to the worst areas. 'Every little helps' as they say

The big kitchen diner was never warm. Reason for that is probably because our plumber took 3 radiators out due to a system leak a while back. Normal winter temps we are fine. I wonder at the amount of heat being lost Onwards and upwards !

Yup, my mate's kitchen was never warm. Turns out these was massive leakage from a relatively newly fitted kitchen window. It was the edges of the window, not the window itself, which was leaking. The window needs to come out and the edges properly sealed, then window refitted.

Think my main problems will be for missing or badly fitted Cellotex in the vaulted ceiling. Either remove the plasterboard in the vaulted ceiling or take off the roof tiles. With any luck a squirt from an expanding foam gun to fill the holes night do it

Sounds expensive. We don't even have a ladder long enough to get up to our roof and I'm damned if I'd do it anyway.
