My BT broadband deal is coming to its end in late November. Looking at renewing BT broadband deal it would be the same price as I pay now (£42 per month) and no difference between using it with a phone or without (I do not use my landline).
I am thinking of changing perhaps to a 4g network. I do not get 5g in my area. I might also be able to go cable for about £22 a month which is a big saving.
I currently run my PC and streamer off my wifi they are not used at the same time and do not want to have the expense of two contracts for this. I also want to try Ethernet on my streamer and ifi zen as currently use wifi (without issues) In the past I have used Ethernet but found it to be noisy even including a Lan isolator that certainly helped. I do not want to go to OTT with having to clean up the system to make it work but okay with this in moderation.
Thoughts, recommendations and advice more than welcomed.

Three mobile 4G broadband should be excellent in your area, John. Definitely lower noise with an 'air gapped' service.

John, also note what Tony said...
This corroborates my finding that mobile broadband sounds better than line-based.

What sort of download speeds can I expect with the Three 4G or 5G Home Broadband? In my area the 4G coverage is indoor and outdoor, the 5G coverage is outdoor only.

I am at 60 Mbps now, still with landline. My other option is to get a fibre-only deal, say for 100 - 200 Mbps which should be enough. The boys are gamers and I watch the occasional streamed movie so perhaps a little extra speed is welcome but going 500 - 1000 Mbps would be overkill.

I'm in IT and even remote working from home, 60Mbps on a bad day is plenty enough to do everything I need, with VPN and remote sessions galore when I'm providing support.
My entire school runs on a 1Gbps leased line and there are very, very few saturation peaks. A 1Gbps line for home use is utter overkill.
