I think this is the only album I've heard from The Cure. It's quite beautiful. I remember hearing years ago a live recording of 'Pictures Of You' performed in Paris. It sounded massive and enchanting. I've never once been a big fan of The Cure but am glad to be reminded of this and will listen with new ears. Great post. I have become convinced Rob Smith is surreal over the years. Just unbelievably brilliant. No matter what your portfolio of great drugs or music says to you, for this case of genuine excellence, it's just irrelevant.

I do like the big singles from The Cure, but have never listened to a whole album of theirs. This was just too much of The Cure for me and lacked hooks to keep me interested for a whole album so not really for me I'm afraid.

This is not the version I'd heard once, but wow this is magical sounding. And the comments are quite moving while the music plays.

I always enjoyed the Cure, and enjoyed listening to this one again, maybe not their best but still good. A 4/5 from me.
