Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone on here was going on Saturday or Sunday. I am staying at a friends near Dorking for several days and we are both going to see what is on offer, it is at least 30 years since I have been to a hi-fi show so will be interesting(possibly).

Too far for me Adrian, hope you have a great time I will be interesting to see/here the ridiculously priced super-hifi and see how it stack up against my cobbled together system. Mine was not all that cheap overall, but in comparison to some of the gear on sale nowadays it might be considered by some a starter system. My friend is interested in replacing his Tannoy Kensingtons, having got a much better amp recently, I think his system sounds pretty good, but he has an awkward room which is tricky for speaker placement, and there is some unwanted bass extension. He is considering some high-end stand mount speakers, along the lines of Wilson Benesch, Wilsons, Sonus Faber amongst others. The trouble with speakers is finding one that works well across a broad spectrum of music, it will be interesting if nothing else.

The absolute clowns show by another name, P. Miller one of Ricrado's favourite bitches.
Lets hope the rooms sound much better than the last Ascot debarcle, and show signage has improved markedly and the show is not spread out our 3 arces and theat exhibitors understand that using suits thhat have large glass walls needs careful handling
Ideal for audiofool silkie jucing and kid in candy store moment but imho if you are looking for product 'x' or 'y' listen at your selected dealer of choice then HOME demo else its all just pie in the sky and later buyer remorse
