Sometimes things can go wrong. The mark of a company with a good repair and warranty service is how easy they make it to claim and set up a repair.
My Samsung S7 FE tablet is all set to be collected and repaired. Samsung have made their repair service easy to access and use, which deserves a commendation. Equally so Lenovo, who are coming onsite at work to repair a workstation that has an intermittent problem. They are sending the part to us ahead of the engineer visit. In both cases, entering the serial number looks up the product, making it easy to state the issue and organise the repair.
By comparison, Acer, to whom we made a claim last year, were a horror. Their website made finding the claim area almost impossible to find. Once we organised sending it away for warranty repair (no collection available), we waited and waited for any status update. After two months, upon enquiring where our workstation was, they had 'forgotten our details' and it had been sitting there in its box for several weeks.

Agreed in spades
In any market place there is often no perceivable difference between manufacturers or suppliers
It is known, to the intelligent ! that you can make a sales point out of a problem - just respond like your corporate life depended on it Customer for life can follow

It's one of many reasons why I stubbornly keep to certain suppliers at work. I go for great products and suppliers with proper backup and service, not the lowest prices, sometimes to the annoyance of management. However, I can often smooth talk good deals.
I'm often asked why I won't consider an alternative to Lenovo for workstations or Dell for servers? Because... experience.

Lenovo I understand as I came to them recommended Your experience trounces mine with Dell for servers. Never would have thought that Wouldn't call either brand Premium either 'Course if you want really good kit it has to be Apple ! This X1 Lenovo could well persuade the boss to leave her ipad I'll do a subtle approach, let her use it and allow it to sell itself

I will contend that both Lenovo for workstations and Dell for servers ARE premium.
I replaced our HP servers earlier this year with Dell, because I know and trust them. Far more reliable and better supported. I wouldn't buy Dell laptops, though.

Oh, and we bought and installed a Dell EMC 50TB SAN (server storage) at the start of this year. Two large chassis full of SSDs and high-speed redundant hard disks. Very fast and very reliable.

Let's analyse that:
Both HP and Dell are considered premium brands for servers. Their pricing is quite close although HP tend to be slightly more expensive.
HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, Apple are considered premium brands for workstations. Their prices vary too much to spot a pattern but Microsoft and Apple tend to be the most expensive.

Tip of the hat goes to Epson support who, when my 6050UB projector recently died, shipped a replacement by two day Fedex. Extremely pleased with their service and turn around.
