I will be hosting a gathering of audiophiles/music enthusiasts at my home in Alresford, Hampshire SO24, on Saturday 20th August 2022, from 10:00 hrs and would like to extend an invitation to forum members.
A selection of savoury/sweet snacks will be provided, but as tradition dictates, please feel free to bring your own culinary offerings!
If the weather co-operates, I can set up two barbecues outside for those who may wish to bring burgers/sausages to burn!
Two systems will be in action on the day. My main system, comprising dCS Vivaldi (inc. latest Apex board upgrade) full stack; Dan D'Agostino Momentum HD pre and S250 MxV stereo power; TAD CR1 MKII speakers and stereo REL Gibraltar subs. As well as SACD/CD's, files can be played from my Melco N1ZH60EX server and Qobuz Sudio streamed from my Vivaldi Upsampler. A vinyl option is also available, courtesy of my TW Acoustics Raven One turntable/Graham Phantom II arm/Transfiguration Orpheus L.
The second system, situated in the family room, will contain my Conrad Johnson GAT2 line stage/Conrad Johnson Premier 350SA power amp: An Alpha2Delta Audio valve phono stage, kindly supplied by Jessica Kinchin from HiFi Wigwam. Turntable will be a Garrard 401 for vinyl replay. Speakers to be decided. This system can be swapped out for any other components which attendees may wish to bring along.
There are half a dozen attendees so far, from the HiFi Wigwam forum, but I can easily accommodate up to 20, so if you fancy a fun day out, listening to music (feel free to bring your vinyl and CD's) and chatting with fellow enthusiasts, let me have your details and for those who haven't visited before, I can send you my address details.
After the restrictions of the last couple of years, it will be good to meet up again!
