I bought myself a Project debut pro. Fantastic turntable, really good reviews as well. More than happy with it.

Pro-Ject make some great TTs, make sure it is well isolated on either a rigid shelf or a TT stand and you will get the best from it.

Personally I think the phono cable won't make the slightest bit of difference but YMMV.
What phono stage are you using now?

Personally I think the phono cable won't make the slightest bit of difference but YMMV. What phono stage are you using now? In my experience the Pro-Ject phono cables are Very good for the money. I happen to have two the PHONO 5P-C(£79) and PHONO 5P-CC (£129) which came with my Signature 10, I already had a Furutech AG-12(£429) a highly recommended phono cable at the price point. The Pro-Ject 5P-CC is worth the extra £60, a bit more detail and better top end, the Furutech AG-12 is a slight improvement over the Pro-Ject 5P-CC, giving a more open soundstage and slightly better definition but it is £300 more, if you had not heard it you wold not miss it IMO. Pro-Ject also do the Connect-IT 5P-SI(£449) www.henleyaudio.co.uk/products/5P-SI?DepartmentIds=1&CategoryIds=102&BrandIds=2 ,I suspect this will be at least as good as the Furutech. I would add that there is not a lot of point spending lots on phono cables unless you have a pretty good cartridge in the first place, a Quintet MC(as Daytona600 said) or even the Goldring 2500(MI) gives MC SQ but MM output levels and is very good VFM and sounds great, or one of the Hana's and you won't go far wrong.
