Another of my " nobody else will read it, but here it is anyway; because I found it interesting," posts. I think it makes a refreshing change to actually read about composers, as opposed to the amount of coverage given to musicians. It's got the same format as my other "Composer" threads. Plenty of music in videos to illustrate the composer's art, and words from an established music journo. Anyway, welcome to South Korea, and "Squid Game composer Jung Jae-il on his biggest joys in life: cats, death metal & collaboration". composer.spitfireaudio.com/en/articles/squid-game-composer-jung-jae-il-on-his-biggest-joys-in-life-cats-death-metal-collaborationAs usual, there are links to equally interesting articles at the bottom of the piece.

Yes, the soundtrack to Under the Skin is incredibly unsettling, adding to the whole ill-at-ease vibe of that superb film.

I think its the creepiest music I've heard to any movie. It adds another layer that alters the film completely.
I'd love to know of any more films where the soundtrack is that powerful of a presence in the experience.
The series Dark and the film Oblivion come to mind but still may not be as potent as this one. Though Natural Born Killers may be the closest, though those are actual songs being used that appeared on popular albums.
And, this weekend will try Parasite.
