Ongoing
Paul kindly sent me his supports bought on Ebay to try out
A quick test said they were in the same area as Black Ravioli on ceramic spacers - impressive
Last night I had I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die, Country Joe and the Fish in the Isis player I like the last track, Colors For Susan so much I played that First with the Isis sitting on RDC cones Second on the Paul donated feet
Seemed that the sound had been compressed a little, lost some detail, narrower sound stage.
The other half appeared and I put on the standard CD test track Mavis Staples Eyes on the prize from We'll never turn back. A great track to test with as is has so much going on Both supports tested. Assumed the differences would be massively underlined
Seemed there was no difference at all. ! This doesn't make sense.
Colours for Susan again Not a great test track as only guitar and not that much going on..... (I thought) Same result as before, now with 3 ears on the case RDCs are warmer, fuller sound, more detail, wider sound stage
More test to come.......
You really should listen to this BTW

I have heard different changes with different music, and some combinations giving no apparent change at all. The best upgrades work across the board - others may be stimulated by resonating with the musical content in a pleasing way, but not really giving an across the board improvement.

It's a great track from a pretty good album (I prefer 'Electric Music For The Mind And Body' myself) Mike, but are there not better test tracks than that one? 'Colors for Susan' doesn't give you much to go on, does it?

Exactly !
I only played it as it was in the player and I like it so much. Even has tape hiss
sounds better with the RDC cones
Top of the top for me Hold on it's coming Together (An Untitled Protest still stops me short)
