I vaguely recall when this song was on the radio and the billboard charts. I seem to remember the smirks and jokes associated with his name in those days when his name was in those silly tabloid articles that make their money by delving needlessly into celebrities personal lives.
I've realized I have some difficulty in separating a piece of work from the hype, and the media and what I perceive as gimmicks when the song or album is first released. It's always only much later when the hype has died down that I can assess a piece of work more fairly.
I've listened to this song 30 times in the last week. It's beautiful. What a gorgeous song.
Somehow I thought he was singing to God then learned he actually wrote this for a woman.

It's not a song I've heard before, at least as far as I can remember.

Ye Marc Anthony was quite big in his day. I remember his stint as the husband in the film 'Man On Fire' very good movie with Denzel Washington.

I remember his stint as the husband in the film 'Man On Fire' very good movie with Denzel Washington. That was a top 10/10 scorcher of a film, the best thing Tony Scott ever made.
