I made a couple of posts this morning, but courtesy requires I formally say hello.
Nothing to see! Just a lounge.
But here is the TV and below a Quad 77 Integrated Amp with it's matching CD player and a pair of bookcase loudspeakers either side.
But a Beresford DAC is strapped (literally strapped) to the rear of the TV
A Chromecast Audio Dongle feeds the DAC and a Chromecast Video Dongle is plugged into the TV which is connected by optical link to the DAC.
The other side of the lounge - se my sofa.
On my sofa next to me sits my Chromebook and it is shown running LMS with the Material Design Skin. The small loudspeakers below the TV are clearly compromised by placement and not big enough to fill the large lounge with sound, but it's a flat and almost all the time I'm listening on the Sennheiser HD25 headphones - the choice of professionals and very clear. The cable runs under the carpet - Bluetooth headphones and streaming systems kill the music!
The Chromebook has a touch screen and I could control LMS that way, but mostly I use the trackpad. The Chromebook has bendy-back hinges and will go into tablet mode - but I hardly ever do that for anything.
Here is what I see when listening to a Flac quality Classical radio Station
Next to the Chromebook is a cheap Samsung Tablet running the LMS webpage. I have the Squeezer installed, but the web interface suits me well. I don't imagine I will use the Tablet often to control my Squeezeboxes.
LMS was running on a PC in the spare bedroom and of course Castbridge is installed and working well. For a few weeks I have been running PiCorePlayer and therefor Logitech Media Server on a ne rPi4.
I have a Boom in the Master Bedroom. I am returning to the Squeezebox fold after years absence. Why did I forget how good it is? Well my SB3 was stolen and the TV was directly connected to the server PC by HDMI. The Boom I set up to work to mysqueezebox.com.
The setup until a few days ago is here:
But I have now replaced the old 7510 with a Caiman SEG and moved my new Pi4 to the TV cable so I can connect direct by USB to the SEG and remove the Chromecast Audio Dongle.
Some improvement noted.
