Wimbledom points not to be counted due to banning of Russian and Belarus players..
I guess French Open are expecting Djokodal (Djokovic or Nadal) to win so Russians can't be used as propaganda puppets. Let's see how that goes! If a Russian/Belarusian wins the French, and it's an if on the mens and womens side, Wimby might come out smelling of roses..
The plus side of no points from Wimby is Djoko will lose his no 1 ranking - as he can't defend the 2000 pts. Unless they protect the pts in some way.
The downside, players who are good on grass get as penalised as much as the Russians/Belarusians pts wise. Emma Raducanu could do well again, likes grass - 0 pts. Pay cheque, but 0 points. Points get you into tournaments and help with sponsor deals, finding etc etc.
Don't like Djoko much?
This is gold
Some good matches from Norrie to make it to the final in Lyon ATP250. 250 points for the winner, compare that to 2000 for slam win!

French Open. Like opening a new chocolate box! Which match to choose?
All behind a paywall this year. Only on Eurosport here.
I have the Eurosport player sub still👍 Can aldo be had via Amazon and Discovery+ sub.
Alcaraz first match up in about 1/2 an hour 🙂
Norrie and Raducanu tomorrow.
Felix Auger Aliassime won a match at Roland Garros finally! Had to come back from 2 sets down! It's like he has to learn how to play tennis each match afresh! At least with Best of Five sets he has time to do so!

Agree or disagree with the Russian player ban.. Not exactly any thought or solidarity with Ukraine in any of this ATP / WTA decision behind the points not counting! She's had her issues. Guess can play where and when (within the rules).

Nadal def. Zverev (ret injured). Zverev turned his ankle, common injury in tennis esp on clumpy clay. Wheel chaired off court! He cried like baby - low pain threshold perhaps. The bone wasn't sticking out 🙂
Upto that point, the tennis was soso in terms of level, intriguing how many breaks of serve against both. Zverev back to his jittery 2nd serve days. One of the slowest matches I’ve watched. 3 hours for not even 2 complete sets of tennis! Nadal is so slow between points, the umpires don’t really enforce the time limits as he’s their cash cow…
I’ve turned both ankles. The left one twice, pretty badly, once on grass, once years later on clay. Now I wear Air cast A60 ankle braces. Same as Andy M. Hewitt swore by them too.
Ruud def. Cilic to become the 1st Norwegian man in a grand slam final.
A climate change activist metal zip tied herself to the net, halting play for 15mins. 1000 and something days left on her T shirt - "We're all doomed" as Frazier used to say! Meanwhile we fly Red Arrow jets about pointlessly, burn huge flares up and down and Putin's war is of course a huge aggressive CO2 releaser.
Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff in the women’s final this afternoon.

Nadal 14 times French Open winner! Unheard of in any era. Clay is the hardest on the body too (just ask Zverev and me!😂). Ruud was a huge Rafa fan growing up. He's trained with him a lot too. Big ask. He never really had a big enough or reliable enough game. Time will tell if Rafa can do it all next year. Time is not on his or anyone elses side though.

Amazing.
Difficult to imagine the commitment, focus and motivation required to keep going at the highest level at his, or any other age.

Wow, just read that he played the final without any feeling in his left foot! Wimbledon not looking so likely because quite rightly he doesn’t want to keep playing with these injections, sounds quite dangerous. "I have no feelings in my foot, because my doctor was able to put anaesthetic injections on the nerves. That takes out the feeling on my foot.” www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/61698213

Harmony Tan playing an amazing match vs Serena Williams at Wimbledon. Reminiscent of how Arthur Ash planned and took the super dominant Jimmy Connors out in the 73 final! Gave him no place to work with. Lots of slice, low. Made him beat himself. That's pretty much what Tan did. Serena in her prime would have blown her away though.. It's not that nice an experience watching Serena these days. Rafa looked pretty good. A real grass court specialist will be more of a test though. Just got to pick your way through the early rounds as dialing in.

Some amazing drop shots by Ms Tan as well. She isn't a big hitter so I guess variety is key to her game ...

Murray out served and out classed by big John.
Isner is only a few ace serves away from Dr Ivo Karlovic's tour record! He'll break that next match.
35 year old Murray had no answers for the 37 year old Isner.
He's really learned to make the most of his 6'10" statue, but is economical on what he runs for.
Murray would normally out run Isner, out return him etc but things are a tiny bit slower, and that's enough.
The other big American 6'11" Reilly Opelka lost in 4 sets today. He's still young. Plenty of time.
Caroline Garcia def. Emma Raducanu in straight sets. Garcia played well.
