Lowell George - 'Twenty Million Things'
This track is 2 minutes and 50 seconds of perfect balladry. It was recorded for Lowell George's (of Little Feat) first and only solo album. George wrote it with Jed Levy and it was one of only four songs on the album that weren't cover versions. It's a simple bitter-sweet love song that shows the little things in life that pale into insignificance when compared to love and love lost. I'm a complete sucker for a good melancholy ballad and this is one of my favourites, principally because of the superb lyrics. I often wonder how many things Lowell 'left undid' when he died at the age of 34.

Listening again it sounds a lot better than on the tablet earlier. Nicely constructed. Mentioning Little Feat, I can now hear the connection.
I don't really do lyrics although phrases seep into my consciousness when meaningful. This is good and I've never heard it before.
