I am pretty sure I've seen all of the performances already on YouTube and it was enjoyable. I also saw some interviews and behind the scenes stuff which must also be included. I'd like to see the full thing sometime. Good, but it's not Greeny!

Covers are always a 2 edged sword
I remember how insulted I was when Carlos did Black Magic Woman Warmed to it now though

From what I've seen and heard the worst part of the whole gig is Dave Gilmour, one of my all-time favourite guitarists, noodling over the top of one of my all-time favourite guitar instrumentals, "Albatross," with his lap-steel, and almost destroying its beauty. He looks, and sounds, like he's at a completely different gig, maybe in another country even.

Yes, I'd echo those thoughts. (Ho-ho, pun not intended)

Yes, I'd echo those thoughts. (Ho-ho, pun not intended) It sounds daft, perhaps, but I actually felt Gilmour had let Peter Green (and me) down. I'd love to know what he was hearing in his head at the time. I can't bring myself to believe it of him, but with a lot of other players I'd have thought that maybe they were only there to be associated with Greeny's name, and for the publicity and the cachet the gig carried with it. "Phoning it in", as they say. I hate badmouthing him, because he really is one of my absolute guitar heroes and favourite players, but he's dogshit on Albatross.
