So if music by Michael Jackson and AC/DC is played on a cello then it becomes classical music.
Ummmm Ok! Cool. Why not! - classical covers a huge range of genres and styles, so why not extend it a bit further.
Listening atm. They both have a blistering technique, for sure!

They're both clearly talented. Is it good music, though? I'm mildly interested but find I'm quickly going off it and want it to stop now. Thunderstruck is possibly the best, because the intro, at least, is classical in style. Oh, Mombasa is good - Hans Zimmer, of course.
I'll be generous and give it 2/5.

As George Michael once said, 'Listen Without Prejudice' and I tried.
'Thunderstruck' is great fun, cleverly arranged and very well played. If they had left it at that as a 'novelty record' all would be well but stretching out an album is a bridge too far.
The other up-tempo stuff is like some kind of white noise aural assault, maybe the CIA use it at Guantanamo; I just couldn't get to the end of each track. 'Shape of my Heart' came as an immense relief. 'Mombasa' starts well enough but quickly became rather relentless and OTT.
'Live and Let Die' should have been so much better - the arrangement was very strange in parts.
'Celloverse' was an inoffensive closer and had a decent enough arrangement. Good music for a car commercial or something. I managed to listen to the whole track - yay!
I couldn't listen again but I'll go 2/5.

Yes, relentless is a good word for a lot of it. I couldn't manage the whole album in one go, not even close! But 2 or 3 tracks at a time was OK and allowed me to enjoy their energy and virtuosity.
I'll stick at a generous 3.

A introduction to some modern cello artists. It is not really classical more modern music with the cello as the main instrument
