I used to have a motion sensitive outside light - but the damn thing kept coming on every time one of our cats walked by.
One of the cats used to deliberately sit in the detection zone, moving occasionally, so he could catch the moths that were attracted by the light!

I have a couple of cupboards where they could prove useful. Or... stick one to your forehead and then when you nod off in front of the telly it will come on and wake you!

We have an outside light with PIR The damned thing comes on constantly so I turn off the circuit breaker for the upstairs, converted loft Have cut back ivy, bushes and all sorts to try to work out what triggers it Even stood there in the dark and shaken bushes - for it not to come on.

Ah, that'll be 'them'. 'They' won't come all the time you are watching though!

Our neighbours' cats are constantly setting off our PIR lights outside.
However, I still prefer to leave them working for security.
