I want a two-pin adapter that stops my razor buzzing every time I use it plugged in to the mains.

That's easy. Just plug a high current 2-pin device in first for a few minutes to 'condition' the internal fuse and I can guarantee your razor will be silent after that!

It may well have been. All I remember is it was called El Dorado and, funnily enough, there was a 'D' grade soap opera in the UK called Eldorado and it was a competition between the two as to which I disliked more.
