What are you plans for your system in 2021

For me, it's to keep refining what I already have. The basic system is making music like never before, so I don't want to do anything to harm that.
Right now, I plan on having Tony modify my Mutec MC-3 in January to bring it up a notch in performance. Then I may commission another QP-1 PSU to replace the dual 12V Weiliang powering the EtherREGEN and master clock.
Finally, I have a set of Vishays to replace the stock I/V resistors in the LKS DAC.
The key for me is to keep feeding the DAC with a better signal and slightly improve its performance.

A similar route to you Martin Better clock than the Femento in the Limetree perhaps the same clock you got fitted A Mutec perhaps 2 and daisy chain Ask Tony if there is a way to intergrate BT 5 to the Limetree or DAC

Probably give RPi / Volumio the push! Perhaps a bigger mid horn for the JBL2482's. I have 200Hz on them at the moment. A 150Hz would allow them to extend to their full lower range. Scary presence and realism awaits.

Steve I get that need to move on from the pi. It great value but something with a dedicated board is the way to go

I will add absolute4ly nothing to either of my systems. Well, that's the plan.

Plans? Good lord, I don't do plans. The Plan is to keep looking at ebay and the classifieds and see what comes along. I just enjoy trying different things; I'm not the long term, subtle improvements in depth type.

.. I guess I just don't believe that there is One Answer that I hone into with ever increasing closeness.
Music reproduction for me is a multi faceted thing, with no single solution. Different solutions to the multiple musical equations that are presented provide approximations that give different but entertaining results.
If that makes any sense!

For me, I really only have time for one optimal solution that brings me the closest I can get to the music.
Saying that, I find listening to other people's systems (sadly, not this year) invaluable for learning about things that might work in mine - or not.
Systems are very personal and I don't hear many that really impress me these days. I'm also long past the need for anyone else to like mine.

Agreed.
I've found that there is an astonishing amount of diversity in the sound that different people aim at.
There really isn't a single perfect system that everyone would be happy with.

I've piled up rather a large amount of kit to play with next year, so my main aim is to experiment with this and hopefully come up with a settled system again for a while to enjoy the music.
I have so many albums saved on Spotify that I haven't listened to yet so that spending time just listening, not tweaking, is my priority once I've assessed the new kit.
The only other thing I will most likely do is to get a Bluetooth receiver, as I'm intrigued by the possibilities and would like to move on from Volumio if possible.

I hope this 2021 project helps with the winter and ‘lockdown’ (although it’s been really mild so far in Chicago. I have a vintage Harman Kardon 730 which I loved in the early 80’s. I ordered a bunch of capacitors and am going to do some rehab. I Took it on a quick dry run with the Allo Digi One and Schitt DAC, and the spatiality really caught my ears, but The bass seemed like it could be better defined. When I am finished, I will A/B it with my current Denon integrated.

Had so much system down time, over the years, this is probably one of the first Christmas/New Years I've had my system properly up and running, what with one thing or the other that I'm just hoping to continue to enjoy the music and system as I currently am and without messing - no need, she's sounding great. As I say, I'm just so grateful to be were I'm at, enjoying the system and tunes. Also I have a Ortofon Cadenza Black, re-tipped with a Fritz Gyger S profile. Probably has one of the longest contact patch areas you can get and typical of microlines/sophisticated stylus profiles it demands meticulous set up and dialling in otherwise you just wont here it, (or your system) deliver the magic. I managed to dial it in and cant get enough, which I'll be taking into 2021 * I'm a vinyl front end addict but will look to sort the digital side with my first ever cd transport and DAC, once I sell my Pioneer PD-91 cdp - happy days !

Completely broadsided / out of the blue came the requirement to try a ipurifier TOSLINK thingy. Did not see that one coming!
I'll be trialling it tomorrow / into 2021, so it counts here 😀
