I couldn't decide. I had the Hidden Cherry pudding about five or six years ago, when my wife was alive, and it was delicious, but now I've spotted the Maple & Pecan, so I've ordered one of those too. I got the turkey crown, for mum and I, delivered yesterday. Sainsbury's didn't have the "small" one I ordered, so they substituted a "medium" instead. That's 2 - 2.3 Kg instead of 1.5 - 1.9 Kg... for the two of us. I feel a lot of Turkey sandwiches coming on, along with Turkey curry, Turkey stew, Turkey salad... The good news is, I'll also have plenty of left-over stuffing, pigs in blankets, veg... I'm now just hoping the damn thing fits in my slow cooker, otherwise I'll have to take a chainsaw to it. Just the fresh veg and the fresh custard/cream to get in now, and then I'm all set to create a Christmas dinner on a cooker that's electric, where mine is gas, and that I use once a year, at Christmas. I'm currently watching footy on the PC, trying to work out the optimal timings for everything, and writing this. (Who says men can't multitask?) That, though is why I cook my Turkey overnight on Christmas Eve eve, let it cool, and then carve off what I need for the two of us (plus a few Boxing Day slices for mum) and put it in a roasting tray with gravy and reheat it in the oven. MMMMMMMM PUDDINGS

I'm not much of a Christmas Pud fan but I would definitely try that Maple one, looks much nicer than the standard fare.

I love Christmas Pudding - it separates the Brits from everyone else!
I'm going to buy that Kirsch Soaked one, which looks totally yummy. Since none of the family like them, it'll be all mine!

Yuk - that's at least two Christmas puddings too many. Will you be roasting the turkey in a slow cooker?

Will you be roasting the turkey in a slow cooker? Yup, that's how I did it last year (if the bigger bugger will fit) and it came out very nicely. As I said, above, if it doesn't fit I may have to take a chainsaw to it.

I love Christmas pudding. As for excess? No such thing over Christmas.
Simple.
Don't know if I'd go for either of them - I'm not as liberal as some of you fellas. But more conservative in my tastes.
Although that pecan one....
