Well it's obviously not classical - you couldn't call it classical crossover either, as from the clips I've seen they are playing pop songs. I could think of a special category all of its own ...

Allmusic says Genre - Classical Pop/Rock Styles - Classical Crossover Must be classically trained. They know their way around modern music too

The only link to classical music is that they are playing cellos, nothing more.
'Classical Crossover' would be something like Vanessa Mae where classical music is being played, but given a contemporary twist to help it get pop / mainstream interest.
This would be a good example of her very special talent, where she mullers the Bach Toccata and Fugue.

I used her version of Bach's Toccata and Fugue as the basis for my Prog version, and I mullered if far more bigly than she ever could.

That piece is almost 10 years old, and I've learned a bit more about production since I made it. There are many technical things I'd probably do differently now.
