Churchill was asked how he intended to win World War 2 after the fall of France. He told of two frogs.
Two frogs jumped into a pail of milk. They soon realised they couldn’t climb out. One frog seeing no way out, gave up and drowned. The other frog kept swimming and paddling through the night. In the morning the milk had churned to butter and the frog climbed out.
Churchill could not see an immediate way out but he did not intend to surrender.

Of course, that wouldn't actually have worked out so well in France. Almost anywhere else in the world, fine, but in France they would just have lobbed in some garlic and cooked the frog's legs.
So that's why they surrendered !

Any chance anyone knows how to find out which scene a gif comes from? There's a Jim Carrey gif I use on fb 'jim carrey laughing'.
It's him in the film 'Liar Liar' holding a disposable coffee cup in a white shirt dark tie. And he's laughing in a fake way then scowls at the very end of the gif.
I've scoured youtube Liar Liar scenes for a week, and today looked through deleted scenes.
I'm wondering if maybe this gif isnt from Liar Liar after all.

It took me until 14:30 today to work out that it isn't Saturday. I can sit and write a "full on" political diatribe, but I don't know what day of the week it is. I knew I should have just stayed in bed today, except I thought it was Saturday, when my groceries are delivered so I put my book down and got up.
The rest of Friday has been officially cancelled.
