This video is fascinating, educational and a lesson in experimentation and measurement. The visual representations of voltage and current flow are brilliant.

Every time I hear someone talk about "soddered" joints, I want to hit them. Just thought I'd get that off my chest. [EDIT] What have I learned? Electricity is actually sentient and is capable of reasoning. It may be a threat if it gets any smarter. Question - Does the self-inductance of approx 6 micro-henrys produced by a 23m twisted pair have any bearing on the results? Joking aside though, that was quite enlightening. Thanks for sharing, Martin.

I still mourn the loss of Friends Reunited, which for a while back there was the only way of reconciling with ex-school and college friends.
LinkedIn works for ex-colleagues, but Facebook is a poor substitute for it.

LinkedIn works for ex-colleagues, but Facebook is a poor substitute for it. They were offered millions for the site but turned it down and a couple of years later it disappeared without trace.

For those who may be anywhere near the M25 and A3 this weekend
Stay home. It will be closed and I'm sure will be surrounded by a giant car park
And I really do mean anywhere remotely near as the knock on effects will be huge

Do you go over the M3 on your bike, Mike? If there are tailbacks going towards London, it'll be as bad as we thought.

In 1971, engineers from the Soviet Union ignited a fire in a gas-filled hole in the Turkmenistan desert. It is said that a Soviet oil rig fell into the crater in 1971, and a geologist decided to get rid of the rig by setting the pit on fire. Anticipating that the flames would extinguish within days, they were surprised when the fire continued to burn. Now, more than half a century later, later, this site, known as “ The Door to Hell,” is still ablaze. If you want to know more, here's a link.

I've seen that before. Incredible that it keeps burning.

This was posted on Twatter, with the comment, "Now this is a proper lounge 👍🏽". It looks so good I had to post it. I think, by the way, it was originally posted to a Facebook account - Amici Audiofili: High End, Fine Tuning & Music, but more than that I do not know (and with 1.4K comments, a large proportion of which are not in English, that is likely to remain the limit of my knowledge.

Not sure if this is on that same level but a friend of mine has these. The Abyss 1266 TC. The cables cost 7 grand. And now hes done. He said the sound of his chain now has ruined him for other headphones. He was a music producer and said even his equipment with speakers in the studio didn't provide this experience. Abyss 1266

Under M25 and saw low volume traffic going fast away from the closure, slower in Over M3, all fine Over M25 looked normal if lower volume traffic both ways Bet it was fun for some though
