DCC was a good idea mangled into an old format. Laserdisc went the same way, changing the analogue audio track to digital. Both were incompatible with old players and both became obsolete quite quickly. New formats on old media rarely catch on.
I'm wondering who would have supplied him with said "vinyls".
I must admit, that thought occurred to me also. They must have been cut "somewhere" certainly. Eastern Europe would be my first guess, closely followed by China,.
I didn't use to need the internet, my wife knew everything.

I like bungalows so I'm won over Bit of tweaking to the decoration and furniture required

I guess it all depends on the area, which of course I don't know at all ...
To give you an idea about the area: Years back there was a game show with two contestants. The winner got a week in Pittsburgh. The loser got four weeks in Pittsburgh.

Gahd. Not sure if anyone is aware but the Boston Bruins just completed last night the most epic collapse in NHL history with the whole world watching.
The Boston Bruins hockey team broke all of the NHL records set in the past 100 years during this historic past season (October- April) that just ended for them.
They entered the post season (the playoffs) to play the Florida Panthers in round 1. Eight different round 1 matches were occuring simultaneously.
Each round is a best of 7 between 2 teams. The Bruins had 3 games won and only needed 1 more. They had the lead in game 5, lost the lead, then went on to lose the next 3 consecutive games in a row.
Last night was game 7. They were 60 seconds away from winning and then Florida scored a goal. They went into overtime and Bruins lost.
Sorry for the boring rant but this season meant so much to me and many other people and it just ended abruptly. I'm stunned by this turn of events.
I doubt anyone here is a fan of pop group Busted, but I came across this article about Matt Willis's drink and drugs addiction and found it an interesting read -
That is wild to think that people can reach a point in their addiction when they have to leave notes for the wife saying sorry. No, I'd never heard of this band before.
Not sure if you guys over there have anything quite like hockey/playoff hockey. It is grueling and gut wrenching. Especially when a lot of good teams get into the payoffs at once. My team has been eliminated recently and I was ok during the final moments of the loss but I broke down when we got a goal from one of our stars named Pastrnak which gave us the lead late the in the game which we then soon gave away and ultimately lost.
It's actually too intense sometimes with hockey. I've seen footage of fans reactions to big football matches. That looks possibly more intense.
