Couple of weeks back I'm on the phone, door bell rings, dogs go crazy. It is a water engineer.
"I've called many times and this is the first time you have been here (Odd, we're here 99% of the time)
Where is your water meter I need to change it."
Explain where it is and say I will join him after I finish on the phone.
Go out to find him changing *next door's* water meter - uh ?
"Found yours but don't have time to do it now. Will spray paint an arrow for the next guy to find it"

Ring and arrange appointment for today, 8-12noon slot, we will let you know when we're on our way

An hour later I wonder where he is and wander out to meet him coming up the drive
