Ahh ok. All noisy. Yes this one is cheap and both times had lumps.
So far what I've learned, in pre-peanut butter testing, is adding a small amount of water helps it pour better.
Chopping ingredients up a bit before blending helps.
Last night's smoothie was gross. This time omitted the strawberries and blackberries.
Only banana, celery, carrots, small amount of water afterwards.
And it's unbelievable. I would look forward to that everyday.

Watch out for the amount of sugar that the bananas add.

Yes, a lot. 14 to 21 grams. I'm considering doing just half banana or none at all.
They are a 51 on glycemic index.

Just ordered bananas, a selection of frozen berries, cherries, chia seeds, goji berries, rolled oats, plain Greek yoghurt, and oat "milk," (no sugar, no sweeteners), plus pure raw "Sweet Field Honey," for a bit of sweetness. I really like Honey - I always sweeten my green tea with it - and it has a range of positive health effects too. I've not liked any " store-bought," smoothie I've tried. TBH they've all tasted as if a bunch of people got together to work out how to ruin the taste of bananas. Twenty quid for one of these.... smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DGLUW4E/ and we'll see if my own attempts fare any better. I had one of those Breville smoothie makers Paul, and they are decent, but these www.amazon.co.uk/NUTRiBULLET-600-Nutrient-Extractor-Graphite/dp/B01N27W15O/ref=sxin_14?asc_contentid=amzn1.osa.a2c82738-bdff- are much better. I've just took mine out the cupboard and ordered bananas, frozen berries, and smooth peanut butter. I'm also going to treat myself to some honey. Porridge oats also works for me. Chia seeds already in cupboard, I thought I'd see if the idea "took," before I bought an expensive doorstop, Brian. These people are good for honey, smile.amazon.co.uk/stores/page/23FD9A5D-7381-410D-9455-C5C8519A4A24

Aye that's why I bought the Breville unit Paul and then I moved up to the Nutribullet. Just a word of warning ..if you use Chia seeds in your smoothies you have to consume almost straight away, otherwise you will be eating it with a knife and fork Thanks for the link for the honey Paul, I'll have a look.

I found the Kenwood "Smoothie to Go" to be the simplest and cleanest.

I was told that when you eat a stock of celery for example. There are nutrients that can't be broken down within the structure that your body might not be able to absorb, juicing really breaks it all down and can be absorbed.
Not sure if that's true. But one benefit is you don't have to sit there and chew carrots for half an hour. Just liquify them into a drink along with other healthy tasty ingredients.

They're a nice breakfast drink Mike and with the right ingredients can be rather healthy. TBH I will have a 'healthy' smoothie any time of the day.

Times were simpler, comedy didn't require one to swear, and this man was unmissable if he was appearing on the television. It's almost an hour long, but if you fancy a regular chuckle then watch it in segments. You can also find his Parkinson interviews collected into one video on YouTube.

I think it was the 80's that started the horrendous ageist trend in terms of who was allowed to be on TV/film and who wasn't. So many careers cut short, especially for women.
I remember chatting with an eminent actress on this subject who was doing a voiceover for me roughly 20 years ago and she was saying how difficult it was for her to then get work in her 40's!! Utterly ludicrous. I hope the pendulum has swung back a little bit since then but we need more of the likes of Miriam Margolyes on TV - we lose so much without all the experience and stories such talented people have.

I've got Miriam Margolyes' autobiography on my Birthday list. By all accounts it's hilarious.
