I'm sure I remember reading a thread here concerning the acoustic properties of timber, possibly started by ChrisB? I've tried searching for it, but I'm damned if I can find it.

Does anyone know what I'm referring to, or am I barking up the wrong tree

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be most grateful.
