So today I bought myself a Leak stereo 130 after lots of research and phone calls. Anyway what a fantastic little amp really happy with and it powers my Wharfdale linton heritage speakers no problem  |

I'd never even heard of that model. It looks very 'Leaky' and I would imagine will give great pride of ownership, especially as common circuit principles have been retained. They certainly knew how to design circuits. Enjoy it!

I have been through a lot of amps over the years,lumley amps,naim, all other brands. But Tbh I got fed up with loads of wires everywhere loads of separate boxes,pre's,power amps, seperate power supplies, separate phono stages and so on. So I thought nah I just want one decent amp that sounds good and aesthetically pleasing. I ended up with the Leak bass from it amazing,beautiful top end and the phono stage is most excellent. The wife walked in and said ooh that sounds good. Next is the Leak Cdt. Finally got rid of all the plugs and interconnects, wow there was so many. Just 1 plug now ok 2 plugs when I get the get, nice and simple . |

Yes it is. I'm not a member on any other forums, but have read people slagging it because it's made in China, Saying we should buy British only. The way I see it is, even hifi made in England will have parts made in China in them. Anyway I like it,the wife likes it so we are happy plus we like old looking stuff lol .

I read and watched a few reviews of it and I was glad to see that the designers didn't fall into a mindset of 'old gear sounds warm and cozy so we'll make this sound like that. (read: dull as ditch water)'

Yeah it's actually quite lively yet has a rich sound non fatiguig at all. Surprisingly powerful as well. Actually it's a very surprising amp |

As for the dac when I get the matching Leak cdt it has to run through the dac. But the amps and cd are flying out the door soon as they get them. Put a deposit on a cdt but it's about a 2 month waiting list. They are so popular. |

It is remarkable value for money, no wonder they are doing so well. I see it has a headphone socket too which is a nice touch.
Just for the fun of it you could try streaming from your phone or pc using Bluetooth, I suspect it might be rather good.

Got the matching cd coming next week, they had a delivery of 25 at the shop. They are all allocated lucky I put a deposit on one ready |
