I've not heard a K2 amp, but I have heard several Roksan components and they do seem to have a "house sound".
Energetic and dynamic with good clarity, but rather inyerface, unsubtle and unsophisticated. I didn't like them, there's much better gear for classical or acoustic in general imo, but entertaining on rock music etc.
I wouldn't go there, but I can understand why the brand has an enthusiastic following.

Thank you , I better give Roksan a miss in that case. Any recommendations on an amp and possibly matching cd player. I have about £500 to spend on an amp, something that sounds nice and plenty of drive for wharfdale linton heritage speakers?

Something like a Pioneer A-40AE, always well received?

Find an old NAD C320 or maybe a Creek. Also worth looking at are the Yamaha - 701/501 maybe. About £300 anyway
Gimme a shout if you want to borrow a NAD

You know,if it’s of interest to you you may like to box swap av receivers as amps...they go for about £50 a time and give you plenty watts too.. Usually decent in stereo too.
Might appeal,might not

Thank you everyone for your kind responces but I'm going to have to re-evaluate what line I want to go down.
