Looking at maybe getting a Lentek Amp. Are they any good, what is their sound like, will it drive my wharfdale linton heritage speakers and are they fixable if anything goes wrong? Thank you.

These amps have a real cult following and reputation for great quality. If they cost 800 quid back in the day you can imagine what they might cost if produced today.
I've only heard good things about them and wanted one myself some years back. If you can find a well looked after example that doesn't need servicing under roughly 500 quid it should hold its value well.

Know someone who had one and had it recapped. Thought a Cambridge Audio P110 was better and replaced the Lentek with it. Bought another P110 for a second system. Would think the P110 is more wife-friendly. Serviced one on eBay at £220, and open to offers: ebay.co.uk/itm/303696775491

That's interesting. I've had a refurbed P110 fairly recently and yes it was good but not that wonderful.
That takes the Lentek off of my Lust List.
A Lentek appeared on ebay yesterday for less than £500 BIN. I was tempted, but bought a Chord Mojo DAC for a good price instead!

Well, as you know Jerry, there's no absolutes in Hi-Fi.
Just relaying what I was told. Can't remember what speakers he had. Think they were expensive B&Ws.
Think he got a 110 for his son too.

I've never seen or heard one in the flesh and I would love to, but it's one of those designs that will always sell on looks alone, I reckon.

It's the same amp on AOS and eBay.
Just down the road from me actually but I won't be buying.
I had one of those battery powered Lentek headamps a few years back and didn't rate it at all - they were all the rage at the time.
