Not the usual Japanese Sony offerings these are from their German designed and built prestige range. They use 10" Seas wonders and sound excellent. £ 25 bargain.

Keep a lookout for some of the models that B&W made for Sony, too, Chris. You might find them interesting.

You do have a knack for finding unusual good speakers! It's all comparative,I do realise that and I know they'll never be in the serious prestige side of things but they suit my room and my system quite well. When I say they're good too,i mean at £25 they're good..I'm not fooling myself at all here. Still like how you can put together a really good system for less than £100. Great that. Wasn't gonna go for these either but they were just round the corner from where the Dittons were so 1 trip in the car... These were clarty too. Just left under a sheet in a garage totally unloved. Shame that they sound very very good.

Yup, absolutely true.
I'd use my Prozor DAC /streamer (<£18) and a TPA3116 amp (there's a used one on ebay atm for £20 delivered) and your bargain pair of Ditton 33 - a genuinely excellent sounding system imo and it's even fully remote controlled! ... that assumes you already have a mobile phone to access Spotify/YouTube or similar as a source.
I could easily live with that.
