I doubt it - a L/R balance control is on my must have list these days due to an occasionally naughty left ear, left over from a bad infection a few years ago.
That's one of the reasons I like AV 'processors', you can always adjust relative channel levels with them. They are also usually fantastic vfm 2nd hand as the video tech changes so often and they rapidly become out of date... but their often excellent 2 channel performance is unaffected.

The announcement we have all been waiting for. Naim have made a turntable. Or more accurately, they designed it and Clearaudio manufactured it. www.naimaudio.com/solstice

I'll bet it's reassuringly expensive.

I believe you get the tt, arm, cart and phonostage for the £16k. Probably a package deal intended to appeal to young Naim fans that haven't been into vinyl before.
Quite cheap for Naim considering what they ask for some of their gear.
Must admit that thick platter makes it look unbalanced and fugly for me.

The new ifi Zen Stream. "Beneath its classy exterior, the ZEN Stream is a technological streamer-de-force." Classy exterior? It looks like a 5 year old designed it and they spent 50p on production. And look! The child did a nice painting behind it too ... ifi-audio.com/products/zen-stream/

There's probably not even a weird a parrallel universe where that fugly box would be considered "classy," jules. It reminds me of some crappy external-soiundcard-type-gubbins one would see advertised in the less reputable computer magazines back in the day.

Exactly Paul - I think even Tandy might have said 'no thanks' ...
Looks like it even has a strip of stick-on brushed metal. Just horrible.
I forgot to mention - it's 400 quid!!

It reminds me of the kind of weird and rough project cases that Maplin used to sell. Silver front, black sleeve and white antenna

Sussed it. They've actually repurposed an early 80s radio/alarm clock.

I quite like the "Clockwork Orange" styled graphic on the right though!

They seem to be too small to have a great effect and are more expensive than the Black Ravioli which I know work well.

If you're going to make a flying saucer speaker do it properly I say. And for those "Imperiual March" moments...
