I think just very heavy handed branding alone will lose them many potential customers.

Those look rather nice. I'm not sure about the built in phono cable though. For £699 - £849 (although I'm sure they'lll be cheaper once they get to major retailers) I'd like a few more options. It's also a bit of a " middling" price, and I'm not sure who they're trying to attract.

If they included electronics to provide a 78 option (it's an electric switch), why didn't they include 33/45 in the motor drive electronics rather than use a mechanical belt shifter?

Gustard X26 III Now this might be the true successor to the wonderful X26 Pro, not the X30.

At least it's not outrageously priced, but £240 still needs to be compared with a pair of DXE filters that do a good job for around $50 a pair.

It means they're not using a chipset. Discrete bitstream (1-bit) could be done with a capacitor, so they're not saying much about it.

Sounds like a variation on a theme of the old Phillips BitMax chip but then again I could be wrong . I think Sony DSD recordings and chips are also one but for increased linearity .

The return of the 33 / 303. Rather stylish and reasonably priced by today's standards too, £1299 each.

...And, as a nod to even more Britishness, the volume dial goes up to 11.
