I'd be more interested in how they might sound. Agreed, but McIntosh and me are an uphill battle. Never really liked them.

I meant that they're mirror images, rather then being the correct way round. I know, but I thought it might be deliberate? Avoiding a complaint from Sony? Could be. Mind you, Ynos would make as much sense as a brand as some of the weird names the market-makers come up with!

Sony was invented because the Japanese thought it would sound 'nice' to western ears.

Sony was invented because the Japanese thought it would sound 'nice' to western ears. The same way that Lucky Goldstar was rebranded for the West as simply LG.

Very nice, I could live with that, but crazy pricing like a lot of Hifi these days.

iFi have a new sub-brand called SilentPower and have launched the LAN iPurifier Pro.
No prizes for guessing what it is meant to do. I've never had any luck with iFi products but thought this might interest some of you ...
I rather like the retro Japanese styling though.

Impossible. You can't stop all noise - are they forgetting how noise gets through power rails and ground planes?
Even an EtherREGEN can't stop all noise, and Uptone don't claim that it can.

It appears to be a sort of FMC inside, converting Ethernet to fibre and back to Ethernet.

They also talk about relocking as well, but agree hard to see how it can be 100%

Was chatting to Matt and atoz about it, it's almost like they put two FMC units into one unit.

This new Fiio SR11 looks like a decent desktop streamer / transport option for under 100 quid.

The tech spec on these new Dyson noise cancelling headphones including LDAC and claimed best in class ANC, looks impressive. I like the choice of colours and interchangeable pads. Sound quality has big boasts too -
< Jake Dyson is the company’s chief engineer. He says: “Dyson's audio engineering mission is to preserve the integrity of the artist's sound wave, free from interference. We also wanted to create a set of headphones that people would cherish, be excited by and be proud of.
“With over 30 years of experience in aeroacoustics, we've mastered sound physics. By reducing noise through in-house anechoic chambers and expert engineers, we've applied and further expanded our audio knowledge to develop the Dyson OnTrac headphones." >

One thing is for sure, they will need to sound amazing to justify their £499 price tag!
