Add Attachment: If the forum staff has attachments enabled, you will see this button on the posting page. After you click the Add Attachment button, a new window will pop up letting you know how many files you can upload at a time, along with what the file size limit per attachment is. To attach a file, click the + Add Files... button, and then choose a file that you would like to upload from the Browse window that pops up. Once you choose a file, you will see a progress bar for the attachment that is uploading. (From TAS help screen)
I would like to use Attachments to add a couple of photos to my post - I cant see the above mentioned "button".......Staff have you enabled it. And i aint too clued up on embeding images etc. Or am i just plain bloody daft.....?

No, the attachment feature is for staff only, I think you'll find. It keeps the costs down! Photobucket account or similar is required if you want to post pictures.

OK, I'll do a deal with you then. For every single image, apart from my avatar, that I've attached since the forum has opened, you can attach ten. How's that sound?

You must have realised that the catch is that in order to keep costs down, I do it the same way as everyone else, with photobucket or similar. So you can attach a big fat zero (x 10) files.

Hi Jammy, if you want to add pictures to posts it's pretty straightforward with Dropbox - this is a handy utility, which keeps all files and folders within a certain designated folder on your hard drive, backed up securely online. On installation, Dropbox creates a 'public' folder, and for any file that you put in there, it will give you an url, which will then enable you to share that file with others (e.g., they can download it via the url). If you put images in the public folder, and - when posting - enter the resulting url in the field which appears when you click 'insert image', the image will display, thus:

ChrisB.............I NOW KNOW WHAT THE B STANDS FOR. No, you shouldn't believe those rumours that I'm a Baron, they're not true - the 'B' just stands for my blood type.
