Perfect volume for your system ?
Still auditioning the Coherent LM1 Pre amp in the system.
Listening earlier to the superb
Neil Cowley Trio - The face of mount Molehill
Earlier at peaks of 60db and losing the need to keep it in the album playlist. Still good but umpteen plays later maybe time for new blood. Long story short I came back on track 8 peaks of 81xdb
Transformed. Staying in the playlist for sure
I shall be playing with different settings on different albums

My standard listening level is -16dB (down to as low as -22dB for loudness wars recordings) on the DAC, which equates to roughly 84-86dB peak SPL.

I tend to listen to most things a lot less noisily than I used to.

Playing with the wonderful Radio Shack db Meter I have been trying the normal setting against "Max"
The peaks on Max are 5-10 db higher than normal
Can't be sure but I think the db range is greater than it used to be. Result of more dynamic range from upgrades ?

Measuring as best I can using Alt-J's Dissolve Me (huge perceived dynamic range), the peaks are 82dB and the quietest sections are 26dB, giving a 56dB dynamic range.

I reckon similar to the level you listen too, maybe a touch louder! I really don't play anywhere near that loud. Peaks of the loudest music reach about 86dB tops.
