Lol in New England we'd be offended early and often at having been asked a question.
If we know the answer though then we arent as offended.

I'm not a fan of AI and ChatGPT as I think I may have mentioned, I think it's quite possibly the worst mistake we've made since Oppenheimer by making it open to all on the internet and there is a catastrophe coming, if we don't stop or control it right now. A lot of geeks and nerds think the same way and the people I've talked to about it think I'm a bit of a drama queen and slightly off my head - this guy (Mo Gawdat) isn't a drama queen and I think has the credentials to support his views and why we should be very concerned. It absolutely scares the bejeezers out of me as we will abuse it and we will pay a heavy price IMO, if we just keep going on as we are.
If you don't have time for the full 2 hour talk, which I urge you to try and make time for, there is a shorter 20 minute edit. If you're really short of time, watch the second one from 16m to the end.
Full
Edit
I did listen to the entire edit and it is interesting to occasionally see people get emotional about what AI will become saying "we fucked up" and "it will be 1 billion times smarter than us by 2045" and "the toothepaste is out of the tube we cant put it back in" and "we are at the very beginning of an exponential curve". The change I've noticed in myself so far is I don't ask anymore what will this or that be in 10 years. I ask now what will this thing or that thing be in 6 months. That and that I scrutinize every last thing I see now that appears on a screen as either being AI or human output. I don't fear what AI will be simply because I can't even fathom it but it's daunting to think reality may become unrecognizable. What I do worry about though is what wide spread fear could lead to. In the middle ages because of our fear we put to death millions of people using religion as a tool to battle our own fear. I wonder what role will religion play or will it be dwarfed and will a new very powerful fear seize us again. If there will be large scale fear then I believe a lot of people might die. We seemed to have built AI as unconsciously as bees build their beehive each individual only knows his small portion of the overall plan but at the end the project is completed. Maybe we did it unconsciously to find a way to solve our problems. Poverty, war, crime, hunger etc. Maybe AI can somehow be used to assemble the data to show us the solutions that are right under our nose that we couldn't see because the pieces were too scattered to put together to see the big picture or maybe it will be something we can't handle. It's weird though that we arrived to this point as naturally as the bees arrived at their honeycomb design every advancement we've made was leading up to this.

Just like GDPR and the ICO in the UK that regulates data protection, we need a regulator with teeth to start looking at the applications of AI and regulating it. If not, the world between real and artificial is going to get very blurry very soon. I would least trust the government with AI, followed by criminals to be honest.
I, too, don't look 10 years ahead, but for different reasons. It would be impossible right now to forecast that far ahead when big change is hurtling towards us.

I think my fears around AI is it's use in military and by parties/government to get into power.and/or maintain power. It will also radically change the jobs market and unfortunately cause poverty for many. I think the Ginnie is already out of the bottle

High Tech firms are only giving staff they're taking on 12 month contracts. At the end of they're 12 months, they won't be required. Needless to say the criminal element are putting it to use. And then you have the Chinese using it along with quantum entanglement for God Knows what end.

And then you have the Chinese using it along with quantum entanglement for God Knows what end. I read a story a couple of days ago about a woman who was " let go" (what a wonderful euphemism that is) by her employer as her job would be, in future dome by AI. She was then offered a 12-month contract, by the same company - and for substantially less than her previous salary - to train the AI to do her old job". She was forced, she says, to accept because she had a mortgage and other regular and immediate bills to pay, and could not exist on zero money coming in. I'm sure there was more to it than that, but that's the gist of the story I read.

Pretty decent sound from a vintage TV recording. And equally impressive mono-to-stereo creation:

Have you guys already watched this? I've seen it many times it's Joe rogan interviewing Bob Lazar about his time working near area 51 back in the 80's.
I don't even care about the "are aliens real?" aspect of the interview because I think the truth will always be concealed from me anyway.
But some of the things they discuss here are fascinating especially everything they talk about regarding gravity.
* we cannot produce gravity we can only observe it as a byproduct of mass.
* what Bob claims they worked on in the desert was a machine that creates a gravitational field.
* if someone were able to create gravity they'd be unstoppable. You can create an envelope of anti gravity that is impenetrable around any craft.
*a ship with an anti-gravity field around it is temporarily separated from the physical world. It does not experience inertia. It is not moving from point A to B across a space it is falling from point A to B through time.

Wow thats a new one.
Hunting Kestrel bird can fly into the wind matching its speed and essentially hover while scanning the ground for prey.

People can bury their heads in the sand - but it doesn't make them go away. Another hard to dismiss interview with Ross Coulthart:

The greatest story ever to hit mankind with practically little to no coverage from mainstream media. But then again, even if it was covered, the typical response would probably be... "What's for tea?", or similar. But I digress...
Anyway...

No-one interested in the far-reaching implications of the connected vehicle?
A follow up. And the future of driving a car really is going to be Orwellian:

Lol Tesla's Cybertruck won a race against a Porsche 911, while it was a towing a Porsche 911. Wow and Cybertruck weighs 7,000 pounds (3175 Kilograms) while towing another 3,000 pounds.
