You have come into some money and decided to upgrade to a new amplifier. What amplifier would you want to put in your system? It can be new or vintage.
I would love to try this
AGD Production Audion monoblocks. They have some great reviews and seem to be taking Class D in an interesting direction. The chip is using a special material that is better for audio. I like the looks but others may not

The Belles is the best power amp I know, way more powerful than the numbers would suggest and incredibly transparent. Their monoblocks are only available by special order, according to their website. A pair of these if I could ever get hold of them.  |

Would take a lot of research!
I'd want to trial them first 😉
Those mono blocks would be trialled on my two bass channels.
Then perhaps nice PP amp mono blocks for the mid channel and two super SETs for the upper channels, but would also trial other low powered detail oriented amps for these channels.

I seem to be infatuated with Lexicon preamp/DACs atm, so it would seem logical to have a go with their power amps.
I might miss the valviness I am enjoying atm, though. So maybe a pair of Primaluna monoblocks as well.
And whilst you're sending the delivery man I may as well try one of those Belles amps that Martin is on about, or he could send me his stereo amp once he gets the monos.

How about a pair of Wavac 833a monoblocks @ $350,000 ?
But then I'd rather spend time rebuilding my DIY pair, and having a pair of the new Nick Gorham (Longdog) monoblocks for summer use.

 Hegel H590 But to be honest, if someone gave me the £9,000 it costs, I'm pretty sure I'd use it for something else, as I've still got no complaints about my now 9 years old Rega amplifier. Not sure what that says about me, but there's a lot one can do with 9 grand and I'm fairly certain it's unlikely to make me 9 times happier than I already am. But if anyone wants to give me 9 grand, I won't complain  |

Think I'd be going for a custom built GM70 or GK71 Valve circuit. Some one off hand made Valve amplifier anyway. Love the hand built ness,like the uniqueness of it and some of the sound they produce...Lovely.
