I love a good guitar solo and whilst I often listen to Instrumental based music a song with a killer guitar solo is a glorious thing Here are 3 of my all time favourites Ernie Isley wonderful guitar solo in summer breeze
Larry Carlton great solo in Kid Charlemagne Last but not least Rhandy Rhodes second guitar solo on Mr Crowley

You do have a taste for the exotic John ... 'Stairway' anyone? Difficult to beat ...

Just to be blindingly obvious..
Freebird, Hotel California, Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live version), Crossroads Blues (Cream Live), Need Your Love So Bad (Fleetwood Mac), Reelin' In The Years, Comfortably Numb and Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Live versions, on Pulse).
I'd have included "Summer Breeze" too.

The two guitars in You and Your Friend by Dire Straits. No heroics, just two gorgeous sounding and complimentary guitars recorded to absolute perfection.

This is pretty awesome... Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways
I think it’s safe to say he gave it everything😉

David Gilmour's Comfortably Numb is my favorite. And this is my second. Song starts at 9.55. Nothing fancy:
Well it's a tie with Chris Rea's Road To Hell.

One of my faves -- well, it's not a stand at the front and play sort of guitar solo, it's more in the mix but pretty much continuous for 5 minutes. I think it's glorious. Please don't judas me - Nazareth, Hair of the Dog The 'solo' starts around 4:45, but the whole track is wonderful

I've ordered me a tight pink leotard. It's what you need, obviously.
They just don't dress like they used to:D;)
Ozzy looking somewhat younger with a Sarah Connor haircut.
Cool.

What gets me about long guitar solos is trying to learn how to play them.
For instance Sweet Child O' Mine.
Just remembering the notes is a challenge all by itself. Then you forget it for a couple of months and come back to it and most of it has gone. You have to re-educate yourself, literally.
I have never licked it BTW. Or really come close.

From the same set as above, and great sound:
And worth seeing twice! The original, longer version. Just found it - both:
