Hmm, yes, about £6k 20 years ago. Serious dosh. Not exactly sought after today, though... I bought one of them for £70 on ebay in as-new condition. 😋 It sounds fantastic.

Hmm, if you’re happy you got away from the expenditure of the hobby, why not enjoy your investment? You don’t ‘have’ to use it all the time, although I can appreciate the obsessive and forensic listening habit, it’s easy to fall into.
If that starts again and you want to start spending again,I agree with Justin; just get rid of it all.

Oooooopz missed this Jules, yes Aware and musing upon Ta.... Unfortunately the Met's 2012 production has For the most part made anything after pale for me somewhat......

I must mention that production to my mother to see if she has seen it. She is also very well travelled when it comes to Wagner but don't know if she saw that one. I think she is going to Bayreuth again this year. I'm afraid I can only manage the orchestral music - I have collections from Solti, James Levine and more recent ones from Paavo Jarvi and Andris Nelsons ....
