A slightly misleading title perhaps, I think I heed help, I am morphing into Jerry. Had a totting up session this morning and I have got 8 power amplifiers, plus an integrated. Admittedly one is a 405 but the rest all work well . Two are for sale and three more possibly soon but it's shocked me.

Hah! I know it can build up but I have virtually no spare anything any more.
There are improvements you can make to a 405 to make it half decent.

I am working my way through selling so many items after upgrading for years and not selling anything. Under a 100 now unless I find more like the Monster speaker cables I forgot I had

Yes! But only 5, and they are all in use.

I got a bit fed up with my usual policy of amp swapping and am now trying a new scheme. A deliberate policy of having one of each major type - valve, solid state class AB, class A and class D. The Plan is to use these in some sort of rotation. A few weeks on my PrimaLuna Prologue 5 valve power amp recently ended and I am now using my two APart Champ 2 class AB amps in bridged configuration. Still waiting in the wings are a Pass Labs class A clone and a TPA 3116 class D.

.... I seem to be accumulating headphones at the moment. Sennheiser HD700, Beyerdynamic T90 and DT250, B&O H6, PSB M4U1, Stax SR3, Philips Fidelio X2, X2HR and L1. And a few IEMs. Hmm.

I have bought a couple of pairs from you so it's an impressive throughput.

Headphones are fun - just as varied as loudspeakers in their presentation, but a lot easier to have a selection readily available! Very personal things, headphones, are you still enjoying the bright green AKGs, Alan? I hated them - I think of them as the Tannoys of the headphone world, couldn't bear 'em! Strongly Marmite.

I do like the AKG's Jerry, best headphone sound I have. The Musical Fidelity are a bit bright and a bit uncomfortable over longer periods but good for travel as the earpieces fold flat.

The rotate happens every few weeks. I have Class D, solidatate A/B, current dumping, SE 300B and EL84 PSE. It's the Class D and EL84 PSE I spend most time with.
