The "Participated" option shows you threads you have posted in - very handy for checking updates and then going direct to the new posts. But after a while, unless I make another post, the system forgets and the thread no longer appears in "Participated". Which is a bit of a pain. Can this be changed to make Particpated permanent? Do you even want to change it? It does encourage me to make more posts.

I've noticed that after a while of not participating in a thread, it 'forgets' even the last read post in that thread.
I don't know of any setting for it but I will raise it with ProBoards.

Have noticed this in other forums too. My guess is that you have to be in there regularly ish to keep your involvement

I'd imagine it's a simple numerical cut-off. i.e. If punter 'A' makes no posts in thread 'B' for 'X' days the record is deleted from the database to save space.

Yep, but someone might be able to tweak the paramaters.

it holds up to your 30 most recent posts, but it's not 30 threads, it's posts. So if you post 30 times in a thread recently, that's going to be the only thread in your participated list when you look.

...and there doesn't seem to be a way to increase the number of posts. I'm not a clever dick, I just read some of the posts in the same ProBoards forum Martin has just posted his query in. Simples.

I'm still waiting for a formal support post about it.
They were very good yesterday about going SSL and the certificate they provide.

As you can imagine, ProBoards have a very busy support forum. They host over 3M forums.
