I enjoy just about any genre of music and have tried to remain current via my kid's interests. I grew up in the 70's and 80's in the UK so that has heavily influenced my tastes. I find I'm now starting to get more into learning to appreciate a little jazz, female vocals, even a little light classical.

Hi 'Duffer' and welcome to TAS! Nice system. How do you get on with the KEFs? I have now reached a stage with the KEFs, the dual REL T9i and my integrated amp (Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II) that I consider end game. Love this combo! I'm now looking to better utlise ROON via a NUC8i7 which I just bought today to use as a ROON Core and am now looking for a network bridge to feed a new DAC. So much to research and enjoy and this will last until I finally pull the trigger. I got drawn to this forum because I'm intrested in the Lindermann Limetree Bridge.

Welcome to TAS. I see you are using a Cambridge Audio CXC transport, excellent piece of kit, I used to have one myself.

am now looking for a network bridge to feed a new DAC Nice. The Lindeman is certainly one to consider, as is the Volumio Primo. The latter is based on the Asus that a few of us are using to do the same job with Volumio software. Superb network bridge or streamer as it has a DAC, too. Another possibility is the Pro-Ject Streambox bridge, also based on Volumio.

Clive uses the Limetree Bridge. It has a dedicated board for audio. Is it mostly for file playback or streaming from one of the major providers If using Spotify I think you still have to use Bluetooth rather than Ethernet for it to work.

I like to buy and own thats why I have lifetime ROON rather than an annual sub. The Pro-Ject Streambox is definitely one to consider but they don't seem to have an agent here in Singapore while Lindemann has and actually by sheer coincidence was the agent who supplied my amp with excellent service backup. They even came to my home to set the amp up with me, saw my turntable with a new cartridge waiting to be installed and did it all for me without my asking on the spot. Class act!

Yes, It works well with Tidal and Qoobuz (tried this) and very well via ROON. I'm in contact with Lindemann about their Spotify Connect app which was previously already about to be launched when Spotify changed their app so back to the drawing board for Lindemann. They estimate Q1 2020 for completion so let's see since this has been waiting for quite a while.

I think using Roon as an endpoint would be the best way to go if you can afford the extra costs. It is a far better interface than the Lindemann app. I am glad you are getting good support I had excellent support from the dealer but the manufacture could have been a lot better. Another player to consider is the Nova N15d it is on the same pair in sound performance as a dedicated network Bridge. The new app is supposed to be very intuitive

What issue did you have with the manufacture of the Lindemann? I have not heard of the Nova N15d so will use my Google-fu to explore. Thank you very much John for this suggestion. EDIT: I understand now why I have not heard of the Nova N15d, it's known under the Cocktail Audio brand in this part of the world.

Yes, Roon a great interface. Expensive but great how it blends it all. Let's just say Lindemann communication could have been better

Let's just say Lindemann communication could have been better Hmmmm, interesting that your experience differs from mine as I had a Lindemann Limetree Network on loan for a week and Christophe from Lindemann was really responsive and even chatty on Facebook. Never took longer than a day to respond. I won't consider the Network unless I see it's actually got Spotify Connect though instead of being just a promise. I love Spotify for it's search facility and it's amazing playlists and customisation based on your listening habits; eerie how it can recommend music which I really enjoy. I use Spotify for discovery and Tidal/Qobuz for quality listening of what I discover on Spotify.

Is that a Technics 1210 MK2 I spy..?
I use the clunkily named Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra - does the job nicely. If you'll be using the USB input on you're DAC then it's certainly one to consider.

Hi, I had to run straight after I approved your membership, so haven't had a chance to say hello. It looks like you're settling in nicely already with this thread! Nice looking system you have there. Welcome to The Audio Standard.

Yes, its a Technics SL1200 Mk 3 I bought direct from Japan. I'm more a dabbler in vinyl rather than a true acolyte I have to admit. I'm from the generation which bought singles and LPs and it's more of a visiting my misspent youth if I'm being honest. Yes the Stream Box is one I'd identified since it ticks all the boxes bar the fact they don't have an authorised agent in Singapore where I currently live. I'd have reservations about service...I did trial a Stack Audio which seems to be the near identical unit in a much nicer case and it sounded great with Tidal but I couldn't get Spotify Connect to work in my system though casting via wifi worked.
