Thinking of trying a cheap topping d30 and getting rid of the beresford. I am streaming from deezer hifi and Spotify using a sonos Zp90 feeding my yamaha as-1100. I am wondering if people have past experience with a topping and what there opinion is of it compared to the beresford thanks?

I used to have a highly modified Seg with a decent power supply I would imagine you will need to go higher up in the range. The D70 is a good DAC and I imagine the D90 even better At some point I think about updating the streamer

The D30 is very good, a different sort of sound to the Beresford - more transparent and 'faster' - or sterile and less musical. System synergy and personal preference will dictate which you prefer, I think. Both are good DACs, just different.

If your looking for musical Jerry I would test out the musical fidelity v90 but put a good power supply with it,i liked it so much that I bought one and sold my SEG

Definitely think the topping d30 is worth a punt it seems to get good reviews. I have advertised the beresford with the dorado elsewhere and thought it might have been snapped up but very little interest. Wife wont stand for me having both!!! 😂

I would agree with Jerry - SEG / D30 just different 'flavours' of good. I really enjoyed my time with a D30.
