I may have resolved the power cable for the P3 already, and it's not even January yet! I'll put it down for 2020 so that I have something to talk about in next year's review Something tells me you will have an item or two to talk about

Paraphrasing in 50 years time half of what we know will be proved wrong.... By the end of 2020 at least 25% of Martin's system will be different

LOL! All the big component changes happened this year. The structure is sound.
It'll only be tweaks.

I may well hit 25% with tweaks, but the main system components are pretty much done. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with continual improvements if you can achieve them, as you well know

Not so sure about keeping under 25% even on main components..... We can revisit in a year
I've been a fan of continual improvement for many years. Incremental even, except some of both our improvements have been on the large side !

Your system and mine have come a long way in the last couple of years.
We are both listening to more music than ever. There is a correlation.

Some of this is subtle. But then, instruments I had never heard before, playing through much of the song.

The second is down to an Entreq Tellus Grounding Box and an assortment of their Konstatin and Challenger cables. What did you end up grounding? I'm always curious at different grounding box strategies. After many experiments, the best configuration for my rig is a star earth set up with five cables from the pre to the grounding box. Only the Streamer and DAC connect directly to the grounding box. All other components including TT, phonostage and power amp are grounded to the pre. Each component effective grounding is subject to cable type. The phonostage performance best with pure silver, the power amp prefer Copper. The pre is performing best with hybrid cables. I found RCA Connectors have a detrimental effect generally in comparison to using the traditional earthing binding post. Adding more than one earthing cable usually delivers improve performance.

I think you've confirmed how complex grounding is and how each system needs to be approached differently.

One of the reasons I was happy working, possibly until I dropped was having a good system at work Pioneer CD, Chord Integrated and Isobariks - now in my office at home Nothing like the TAD system that continues to amaze me. Another reason to retire
