I saw a similar thread elsewhere and thought it would be fun. Come on then, what are would you say has been the worst kit you have owned throughout the 2010's? - Naim NDX - Complete let down. It sounded sterile, boring and and brighter than light. Horrible waist of money!
- QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable - I always thought it was ok until I heard it against decent cable and realised that it wasn't any good at all. I know MartinT is a big fan
- Naim A5 speaker cable - lasted only a couple of months. It gave the QED a serious run for its money as possibly the worst cable I’d ever heard and it was 10x the price!

I still have some NACA5 from decades ago that i was thinking of trying on my bass drivers instead of the NVA LS6 i have at the moment. Just for giggles i might add. It is rather thick but low capacitance (good for my NVA amplifier boards).
Did you have it on all drivers ? I wonder if it is suited more to just bass duties ?

- Helius Aureus arm (terrible thing made out of cheese)
- PS Audio GCPH phono stage (not their greatest moment, it hummed and hummed)
- QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable (yes, we have some in the AV system because it was free)
- Roksan Xerxes turntable (the top plate sagged due to faulty design, they wouldn't replace it)
Not owned, but... - Rank Domus speakers (remember them?)
- Lumley speakers (dreadful bodgery of mismatched drivers)
- Linn Index speakers (dull, dull, dull)
- Bose (just about anything of theirs)
- iPod earphones (utter shit)

I actually quite like the iPod earphones for what they are. Nothing special and can be bettered by more or less anything, but they are ok as a freebie with an iPhone.

I used them for full range to replace Cable Talk (original) talk 3 cable. It was nowhere near as good. I then bought some Exposure cable which I believe was based on the NAC A4 cable and it bettered the NAC A5 in every way.

Both of those cables make passable tow ropes I believe though not sure if I would wish to pull Landrover out of a ditch with one
The Naim NDX like a lot of Krell amps, make good door stops
Worse product I came across in this period were those speakers from Jersey/Guernsey from that ex barrister chap David, truly fooking awful made Naim sound good!!! which is close to impossible Gold plated versions as well if I remember

Jamo Concert 8 A bit too harsh in the treble I had some Linn Speakers for a short while They were pretty closed in I cannot remember the model but were cheap stand mounts Wilson Benesch Actors Boring soulless speakers SAC KT88 Glowmaster Nice sounding amplifier but would go through tubes ever 4 months. This is why I stopped using tube amplifiers PS Audio reclocker For my system a backward step

I've got one or two ...
In a fit of 80's nostalgia I bought an Audiolab 8000A. Dire beyond words, and that was even after I spent money on a 'specialist' service for it.
An Albarry integrated was very muddy and disappointing, especially in comparison to the pre & monos I enjoyed for a number of years.
Cambridge Audio cheap phonostage - about as much resolution as an Amstrad midi system, god knows why they were rated so highly ...
TEAC VRDS cd player. Beautifully built but about as sprightly as Bernard Manning after a hangover. Even with its matching DAC.
The expensive 6H30pi Reflektor 'supertube' wasn't super at all. Electro-Harmonix sounded just as good for a fraction of the price.
The very hyped Ken-Rad 6SN7 - monster bass but none of the other required frequencies ...
Technics DJ deck - in spite of the various 'upgrades' this had, I didn't get on with it from day one and sold it very quickly indeed. The party seems to be over for it now as an audiophile deck....
Buying a big audiophile PSU for my Source turntable. Made absolutely bollock all difference to its already fabulous sound.
A pair of standpoint ATC speakers. Highly rated by some, I found them as musical as a paralytic pub singer.
Rogers LS speakers, can't remember the model but were big standmounts- loved these back in the day but they got very short shrift second time around.
Disappointing in a very different way were Audio Physic Virgo speakers. Fabulous things but the sideways firing bass just didn't work in my room.

I found side firing bass rather odd sounding. Can't put my finger on the reason why. Best i could come up with was how it was loading the room. Side firing mid's and especially twweters are a different matter however

Luxman pd 272 turntable, looks fabulous but sounded very poor.
AKG 701 headphones - I just can't stand them - the most irritating high end headphones I have ever heard.
KEF R500 speakers in my 2nd system, kept them for a while but never really got on with them, sterile and unmusical. Lightyears away from the old 'BBC' KEF sound which was much more natural imo.
VdH D.102 mk3 interconnects, lifeless and soul destroying. I'm deeply in love with other VdH carbon hybrid cables atm though.
Pass X150 power amp - just a bit drab sounding.
Musical Fidelity 100 and 200 headphones, bright and squally and uncomfortable.
Auralic Vega DAC - blaand and uninspiring

Those Rega speakers I had. They were rubbish.
