The first track reminds me a little of Andrew Lloyd Webber's album, Variations. The rest is terrible, sorry I really tried, but I have had to turn it off otherwise I was at serious risk of throwing my computer playing it on Spotify out of the window. The Comet came and went for me I am afraid, 1/5. Thank you though, it is always good to hear new music  I've tried it again today and there are some enjoyable elements to it, so I think I was a tad harsh. Let's say 2/5 to be more reasonable. |

A 4/ 5 from me. I quite enjoyed it, although I'm never sure with albums like this if "enjoyed" is the right word. It reminded me, in places, of Goblin, the Italian Prog band who did some soundtrack work for Dario Argento amongst other things. Only in places though. Musically it was all over the place, and good luck to anyone who wants to genre-type it.  |

good luck to anyone who wants to genre-type it. Funny you should say that Paul as when I was writing the OP I struggled to describe the music , I went for psychedelic jazz funk as this covered some of it |

There are some nice deep sounds on this album with a lot of texture Loving it through my main rig  I am sure it takes 12" + drivers to do it justice. |

In Cambs today a group of student buskers were playing similar sounds.
Two Sax's, bass and tenor, French horn, trombone & drummer.
They made a nice sound.
In the car on the way home I put on The Comet is coming - Summon The Fire. It lasted all of 30secs ☹️

Anything bassy, pulsating, mind bending etc gets a quick thumbs down.. |

After being denied a bit of Comet as car music.
Got home after a few days away and opened up with a couple of fav tracks - Summon the Fire 🔥 of course and then Birth of Creation.
That's better, can now move on to other listening 😄
